In the second Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta express their love by desperately trying to protect each other, and being willing to sacrifice themselves for each other.
Peeta back stabbed Katniss to protect her. Peeta wants Katniss to win so that she can go back for Prim and her mother, and also he has loved her since the first day of school. He is trying to protect Katniss, so he joins with the Careers and does all he can to keep them away from her by misleading them. When they find her in the tree, Peeta is not there, so Cato tries to climb the tree to get to her, but breaks a branch in the attempt. Then, Peeta gets there and suggests that they wait until she comes down because, "she can't stay up there forever." That gives her more time, and thankfully, Haymitch sends her some burn cream from her encounter with the fireballs. Mainly, Peeta joined the Careers to make sure of Katniss' safety.
When Haymitch reminds her that all of the tributes are already friends and she only has Peeta. The gamemakers give them both a 12 so they will be targeted first and Katniss does not want Peeta to die, so she decides it is best.
well they didnt all die! Peeta, Embornia and johanna were all taken prisioner by the Captial and the Rebels managed to save Finnick and Katniss! Some died in the Bloodbath and others in combat and also in different hours of the clock
They are taken back to District 12, but because they have sparked a rebellion they are taken into the Hunger Games arena for the Quarter Quell, this year's twist being that previous winners will be reaped, and Katniss is the only girl winner of District 12 so she is guaranteed to be chosen. I won't give anything else away, but let's just say that they make some new friends in the arena.
His love of Katniss
Peeta begins to sleep with Katniss when he discovers she's having nightmares. Not the other way around, but yes he begins doing so in Catching Fire.
That depends on what u mean by beleivable. some bits could happen in real life but others don't seem likely. such as Finnick restarting Peeta's heart.
The most important items of Catching Fire have to be the Spile and the Pearl . The pearl because thats what Peeta gave to katniss in the Catching Fire arena . The spile because that kept them alive.
Katniss needs to participate in the Quarter Quell, Peeta gets caught by the capitol, some old woman dies, district 12 gets firebombed and thats about everything i can remember
peeta and katniss both go back into the hunger games they are both still playing the star crossed lovers card. katniss surprisingly gets pulled out of the hunger games and peeta is left by himself regretting his deicions.
Yes. It's obvious that Peeta loves Katniss. And by the end of catching fire, Katniss acts as if she's totally in love with him. So inless some thing changes in mockingjay, I'm pretty sure that they are ending up together.(SPOILER)Yes she and peeta end up getting married and having two children
There is not a release date for the Catching Fire movie trailer. Some assume it will be released later in 2012, or early in 2013.
Some of the track names in the audiobook "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins are "The Quell", "I Have a Plan", "Allies", and "The Victor".
Here are some good Peeta quotes: "I just want to spend every possible minute of the rest of my life with you." "I wish I could freeze this moment right here right now and live in it forever." "Because, because she came here with me." "If I die, I still want to be me."
the main conflict is that katniss is trying to get peeta out alive. katniss is the face of the rebellion and she figures it would be better if she were dead rather than peeta. during the game the arena is destroyed, but some of the tributes still survive.
If you die and i live, there's no life for me at all back in District 12... You're my whole life.
Okay, first of all, Katniss does not know if she loves Peeta or Gale. Her feelings are really mixed up and she has a hard time making choices. Also, SPOILER ALERT!!! (I may be about to spoil the book for you if you continue reading). If Katniss doesn't look like she is madly in love with Peeta--some of the people in the Capitol aren't falling for it--then President Snow threatens to kill Gale and their families. Katniss and Peeta's relationship is confusing for them because Peeta (and even Katniss, sometimes) can't tell when or whether Katniss' feelings for Peeta are real- or just an act for Snow. Catching Fire really explains that Katniss is not that good with this act. Peeta actually loves Katniss, so it bothers him that Katniss has to act. Still, Katniss finds herself falling in love with Peeta. This is made worse by the fact Peeta says to the capitol audience that Katniss is going to have a baby so if Katniss survives, the capitol is going to be wondering 'So...where's the baby then...?'
