When Haymitch reminds her that all of the tributes are already friends and she only has Peeta. The gamemakers give them both a 12 so they will be targeted first and Katniss does not want Peeta to die, so she decides it is best.
Katniss wants to split from the alliance because she eventually later on when all the other tributes are dead she and Peeta will have to kill all the tribute they made alliances with.So in my opinion that is a good idea.
Katniss finds Peeta near a stream, camouflaged in the ground.
Johanna cuts Katniss' arm open and takes the tracker out of her arm in the quell and Chaff gave Katniss a kiss on the lips after the tributes parade.
If you really want to know you should read the books.. But yes she does go twice once for her sister and then one after the country starts having uprisings because of her she & Peeta go both times and they both survive both times
Katniss and a few other tributes (not including Peeta) are busted out of the arena by Haymitch and Plutarch Heavensbee and taken to district thirteen. Bonnie and Twill were right about it still being under ground and very much alive.

Haymitch Abernathy suggests that Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark form alliances with other tributes who have skills that can complement their strengths. He specifically emphasizes the importance of aligning with those who can provide protection and support, such as the more capable and experienced tributes. By forming strategic alliances, they can increase their chances of survival in the Hunger Games.
President Snow is the main antagonist of the book Catching Fire, but to Katniss, the entire Capitol and every one of her fellow tributes is an enemy. They are in the way of her saving Peeta.
She is nervous
she climbs a tree
She won

Katniss does not find out in Catching fire, but in the first book, when they are in the cave by the river.
There were many "strange" things about their alliance in the arena.First, the Career tributes were usually the only tributes to form alliances - that is, the tributes from districts 1-4. Tributes from outlying districts usually remained alone for simplicity and safety. The fact that two tributes from both of the poorest districts formed an alliance and friendship was extremely strange.Another oddity was the difference in their age. Katniss and Rue could easily kill each other - Katniss with her bow and Rue with her knowledge of poisonous plants - despite their age difference. But Rue, as a 12-year-old girl, was a much different tribute than the 16-year-old Katniss.Katniss and Rue did form a friendship and it was largely because of how much Rue reminded Katniss of her younger sister, Prim. Alliances in the Hunger Games were usually for utility: shared food, weapons, and resources. While this was true for Rue and Katniss, it was also largely because of their comradery. The final strangest thing about their relationship was the end, when Rue was killed by Marvel's spear. Katniss saw it, shot Rue's killer, sang her a lullaby as she slipped away, and buried her in flowers, then broke down crying. Death in the Hunger Games was nearly unavoidable. Even Career alliances wouldn't mourn the loss of a member. Yet, Katniss deeply mourned Rue's death, which was unlike anything that had ever happened before.
the main conflict is that katniss is trying to get peeta out alive. katniss is the face of the rebellion and she figures it would be better if she were dead rather than peeta. during the game the arena is destroyed, but some of the tributes still survive.
