As far as I remember, and if you mean professionally, then the dwarves were miners. You know, Hi-ho, hi-ho off to work we go, with a pick-axe on my shoulder etc. Otherwise, all they did was lust after Snow White, and plot ways to out-do each other and get first crack on the full-size aryan chick.
