rue and katniss split on , katniss goes and destroye the gamemakers food and rue goes sets up 3 fires to distrack the gamemakers. when katniss retrieve the food she is heading towards rue 3rd fire , katniss hears rue yelling her name "katniss , katniss " katniss is worried . when katniss arrived rue has a spear in her stomach . katniss see's cato and shot him with a bow & arrow . than looks at rue and push her hair away from her face . and start to sing to her . rue dies in her hands . katniss backs away while the hovercraft takes rue away .

Did rue really die in the hunger games?
No she didn't kill anyone but when Katniss and Ruesplitup, Rue got trapped in a net and shouted Katniss over and over again until she came. When Katniss arrived, she quickly cut the net and then got Rue to stand up. When Rue was standing Rue was stabbed with a spear in the stomach and Katniss shot Marvel in the throat, which killed him. After when she was dying, Katniss was asked by Rue to sing a song. This song she sang was Rue's lullaby. After when Rue completely died, Katniss gathered flowers and put them around Rue's body. Then Katniss left.

rue reminds katniss of prim, and katniss can't seem to shake her anyways. rue has proved herself a survivor, since she's still alive this far into the games. rue saved katniss' life in pointing out the trackerjackers in the tree.
