Rosalie almost had a home run when she is caught out and Bella tells her she is out, rosalie glares at her and brushes past her, clearly annoyed with her, carlisle tells her "nice kitty." he says this in an attempt to tell rosalie to calm down and be nice to Bella
Actually he wasnt being patronising and calling her a cat. He was just comforting her a bit because she didnt do so well. 'kitty' was just a sort of nickname he came up with on the spot.

I am a little confused by this...do you mean how long they have been Vampires or what place they are in the family. Carlisle is the oldest then: Jasper, Edward (i think), Alice (or Esme), Esme (or Alice), Roselle, Emmett, Bella and Reenesme.

If you mean by vampire years then it is jasper as he was created in the 16th century by a vampire called maria. Emmett was made my carlisle much later on in the 20th century when rosalie found him being mauled by a bear.
