Craig Northey's collaborations with Jesse Valenzuela of The Gin Blossoms grew into a new project - Northey Valenzuela. It is from this union that "Not A Lot Goin' On," the rousing theme for the hit CTV sitcom Corner Gas, was born. Northey Valenzuela will release their self titled debut in early 2006 on True North/ Fuel 2000/ Universal.

The opening credits song is "Not a Lot Goin' On" performed by The Odds, lyrics by Craig Northey. The version heard in the opening credits of the TV series goes:

''First you tell me that your dog ran away.

Cause there's not a lot goin' on.''

Corner Gas: The Movie (2014) uses both this version and the complete version with additional verses. The second line is also amended to say "And out here it can take three days."
