In "Lord of the Flies," the morning meeting saw the boys willing to exhibit discipline and responsibility about what needed to be done to assure they worked together as a team, and did all they could to get rescued. By evening, Jack and the hunters return with their prey, and everything goes out of control. First of all, they let the signal fire go out, and when Piggy calls them irresponsible, Jack physically assaults him.
The last group of boys to arrive at the first meeting in Lord of the Flies are a choir led by head boy Jack Merridew.
Jack called the meeting under the pretence of discussing the encounter with the beast on the mountain top but really with the intention of attempting to depose Ralph as leader and installing himself as the new leader of the boys.
Simon is first referred to (though not by name quite yet) as he faints in the first conch meeting.
He makes a stand against Jack and the choir boys because they had not acted upon their responsibility of keeping the fire going.
Simon's encounter with the lord of the flies is one of the most important events in the book. Simon's meeting with Lord of the Flies is a foreshadow into his own death, Simon looks into the vast darkness in Lord of the flies and later dies after his meeting with lord of the flies. The meeting also reveals to Simon that the fear of the lord of the flies or the "beasties" is truly within themselves.Simon is an epileptic and during an epileptic fugue he has an internalised conversation with the evil which he knows dwells within us all. He mentally projects this inner beast onto the pig's head on a stick which Jack has left as an offering for the imagined beast.
Ralph calls a meeting in the morning in "Lord of the Flies" to discuss pressing issues on the island and to address the boys' concerns and fears.
The boys in â??The Lord of Fliesâ?? decide on their officers and committees in the first meeting on the island. Ralph was elected Chief and Jack was chosen to be in charge of the hunting party. Piggy is charged with getting all the boysâ?? names.
Black flies and horse flies are both biting insects, but they have some key differences. Black flies are smaller and usually black or dark in color, while horse flies are larger and can be various colors. Black flies are known for their painful bites and are more likely to be found near running water, while horse flies are more commonly found in open fields and wooded areas. Additionally, black flies are active during the day, while horse flies are more active in the late afternoon and early evening.

In "Lord of the Flies," the meeting must not be about the beast in chapter 5. Instead, the meeting in this chapter focuses on the growing tensions between Ralph and Jack, particularly concerning priorities and responsibilities within the group.
The Conch shell.
In the first meeting in "Lord of the Flies," the boys gather using the conch shell and establish rules for order and civilization. In the second meeting, tensions arise and the boys begin to exhibit signs of savagery as power struggles emerge.
Ralph sits on a fallen tree trunk during the meeting in "Lord of the Flies." This position symbolizes his leadership role as the boys' chief, providing a sense of authority and organization in the chaotic situation on the island.
Ralph and Piggy found each other and blew the conch shell first, so they called the first meeting of the boys
