Yes. Lelouch's Geass had fully developed in C's world, which is the requirement for killing and taking the code of an immortal, so this is when he took Charles code. However, one must die before they become immortal after taking a code (which is shown by CC being killed by the nun and Charles being killed by Lelouch the first time he went to C's world). So Suzaku killing Lelouch effectively made him immortal.

Maybe the last person was right. I thought the requirement was to grant C.C.'s wish, which is to die. he hasn't, so I would suspect he's dead, though I could be wrong.
