Wrong, wrong, completely wrong... The 4th Hokage (Minato Namikaze) is Naruto's late father and has no familial relation to the 3rd Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. However, the 3rd was Asuma Sarutobi's father and Konohamaru Sarutobi's grandfather. (Asuma is Konohamaru's uncle) And for the answer above, the 3rd never retired, he died in combat at the hands of Orochimaru during the Sound Invasion. Also, Minato was a student of Jiraiya, who was a student to the 3rd.

∙ 13y agoyes actually! if you read the manga you will find out that Naruto's father is Minito (the forth hokage) and his mother was the previous host of the nine tailed beast! if you pay attention to the story line you will realize that the person that is chosen to be a host is usually close to a kage naruto is the son of Minito. Killerbee is riakages brother. and Garra is the son of a Kazekage.
