Well the thing is.....The Naruto Manga has gone much further then the anime because the anime has many extra episodes that arent in the manga. If you want to see the extra episodes then i suggest watching it from the beginning. Because they are still making naruto shippuden episodes in Japan and are no where near what the manga is up too
Naruto is a anime show that debuted on TV Tokyo in Japan in 2002. The Naruto series has 220 episodes, 135 of the episodes being based on the manga and the other 85 being exclusive to the anime.
In the Naruto anime series, there are 220 regular episodes, including everything like fillers and plot parts. There is then a 2 year gap (in the storyline), and the next episode beigins the Naruto Shippuden series, which begins 2 years later, and is continuing on as of currently...

That part of the anime is a filler. Which means that it is not in the manga at all.
After 27 manga volumes and 130 anime episodes.
There is no such thing of it in the original source in the manga. It's filler in the anime episode 166 in Naruto Shippudden.
Many of the anime episodes don't correspond with manga chapters because they are either filler episodes or anime-only arcs. This is the case for chapter 195, it is anime-only.+1closeclosepinpinsearchminimizeforwardbackViewTextzoomoutzoominzoomin
Well, in the U.S., the Naruto anime on cartoonnetwork was beginning to pass the rate at which the manga was being released in bookstores and other places. So they showed different filler episodes that didn't have too much to do with the main plot of the series so they could have more time to release the manga. It makes sense because if the anime came out on television first, it would leave a lot of people uninterested in the manga when it was released.
There is no such thing as a 'Sergal' in the Naruto anime.
Naruto is originally a manga ( a Japanese version of a comic book) and then turned into an anime (a cartoon, usually from japan) and the original episodes are made in japan, then the U.S. U.K. and all other countries decide they wanted the episodes too, but they are about a year behind. You were watching subbed anime, where you have to read the subtitles. Look up Naruto dubbed episodes.

There is a total of 220 episodes in the anime, "Naruto." But then, there is the sequel, "Naruto Shippuden." Naruto Shippuden has over 170 episodes currently. Hope I helped you!
an episode of naruto that doesn't really have anything to do with the story or the anime made it up and it isn't canon in the naruto manga
No. The manga of Naruto is actually ahead of the anime, so Naruto Shippuden is actually based on the Naruto manga. Filler episodes/seasons are completely original, and do not have anything to do with the main plot of the manga (hence them generally having little to with the matters at hand and creating new enemies that are never referenced later). I would suggest reading the manga, but reading the America localization just seems dull due to it's numerous children-friendly cuts (the anime suffers the same way).
i watch all of my anime on animeseason.com. this site is better than any other that I've used since it give you a selection of player to watch the anime on.
