The whole idea of the story is about different human reactions to different problems we face in life. It is all about how some people are pessimistic and some are optimistic. In other words, either the glass is half-full or half-empty. The book has a very psychologial aspect to it.
Lemme give you an example.
Throughout the series, Katniss Everdeen is very pessimistic, she never believes that she can win the Games and she never believes that she can be safe.
On the other hand, Peeta Mellark is always very optimistic, he is always the one to cheer everyone up or charm an audience.
Then you get people like Finnick Odair, who has a pretty changeable character. When his love, Annie Cresta, is captured, Finnick is really pessimistic and he keeps on thinking that he won't ever see her again. However, when he marries Annie, he is really happy and he is very social and active.
These are just some of the examples in the book. To understand it fully, I think you need to read it or if you've already done that, read it again.

The book tells of how Katniss survived after her father was killed in the mines. How she survived and helped her family to survive. Also the Hunger Games it self is about survival, the last person alive being the victor.Read more: Is_survival_a_theme_in_The_Hunger_Games
Could be. The book tells of how Katniss survived after her father was killed in the mines. How she survived and helped her family to survive. Also the Hunger Games it self is about survival, the last person alive being the victor. Survival is a main theme in The Hunger Games.
The book is set in the future when North America is set into 12 districts. Each year the capitol picks one boy and one girl from each district to compete in The Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live tv, where only one survior comes out. Katniss's sister is picked to compete, but Katniss volunteers to take her place, therefore Katniss has to compete in the games. (In my personal opinion The Hunger Games is one of the best books I've ever read. I would definatly suggest this book.)
None of the songs on the album are played in the movie, except three that played during the credits. The songs that played in the credits were:Abraham's Daughter by Arcade FireSafe and Sound by Taylor Swift feat. The Civil WarsKingdom Come by The Civil Wars
Trust is a theme in The Hunger Games, because Katniss is always questioning who is actually on her side throughout the entire series. For example, if you kiss the wrong person, you might end up stabbed or shot. If you have read the books, you should know that she only questions people's trust in the arena and when District 13 and The Capitol are at war.
