In Catching Fire Peeta walks into the forcefield at the edge of the areana. The forcefield is stronger than the one on the roof of the Training Center, and Peeta's heart stops. Katniss flings herself onto Peeta trying to wake him up, but to no avail. Finnick pushes her away, and begins CPR on Peeta in order to revive him. This works after a few minutes, and Peeta slowly wakes up. This is one reason Katniss finds it impossible to betray Finnick.

Katness needs to maintain her compassion and humanity in a life-or-death game. She has the skills, intelligence and magnetism to emerge the conquering hero, killing off her competitors and using her alliances without any real loyalty. She never sells out to the system though she has the potential to eventually rise to the highest levels of power within that system.

How is peeta responsible for foxfaces death?
Peeta is responsible for Foxface's death because as Katniss was hunting, he was collecting berries, although he didn't know they were Nightlock, a very poisonous berry. As Peeta stores them in his bag and walks away to go and get Katniss, Foxface tries to steal these berries and eats one of them also not knowing they are Nightlock. This makes Peeta the one responsible because he is the one that picked them and put them in his bag, although it was Foxface's fault for trying to steal them.
