I suggest you to be careful tough. Why would you want a higher range? Are you a mezzo-soprano and due to the limited amount of songs written for the range ,want to go "higher"??
Even experienced teachers can ,indeed ,increase the range of your voice and make it go "higher" YET it is EXTREMELY easy to "break you voice". Indeed you will sing in higher pitch ,but your vocal chords will be permanantly damaged and your natural speaking voice is then completely altered. In some rare cases ,it is possible to go back to your natural voice ,but in 90% of the cases ,the damage is permanant. Needless to say your singing ability is also completely ruined.
Also practice your "lateral" breathing. That allows you to sing with your "head voice" and then go higher very easily without any strain.
Vocal coaches would offer a variety of vocal technique and strengthening drills. However if you are trying to get more bass in a live performance situation, try a device called a compressor limiter. It brings up the quieter parts and controls bursts. The first thing noticed is more bass from the voice. This is from personal experience... and my voice needs bass...bog difference

First You need singing lessons...VERY IMPORTANT!...I just had singing lessons last year (2009)
So,
Hear are some tips:
1.Whatever you do DONT SING WITH YOUR THROAT!
2. Before doing a high note, breathe in and hold your stomach, hold your breath, close your eyes, do the high note, then breathe out. (holding your breath and closing your eyes can make it better)
3. Practice, Practice, Practice! Do that at least three times a week. Then sooner you might notice that you reach higher and higher notes everytime.
4. DON'T DRINK COLD WATER! It will ruin your voice.

3 things: increased breath pressure, lifting of the soft palate/blocking off the nasal passages, and good muscle strength in the glottis to keep the folds pressed together under increased breath pressure.
Your larynx needs to be low, your pharynx needs to be open and your vocal tract must be dilated to 1/6 the size of the pharyngeal opening.
The fouth comes from vowel covering/modification, where bright vowels are modified to darker vowels as the pitch increases.
To do this realistically requires practice and guidance of an experienced professional to develop the correct low larynx/balance between breath pressure and glottal pressure required to get a ringing sound with vibrato. You really cannot learn it on your own without risking vocal damage.
If you cant reach a high note, maybe your voice is not meant to reach high notes :(
Or maybe you just need a little more practice :))
in your throat try to sqeeze it. your larynx or voicebox is a group of muscles that, when you sing, you vibrate those muscles and push though the muscles. The faster they vibrate, the higher the pitch; the less they vibrate, the lower the pitch your larynx or voicebox is a group of muscles that, when you sing, you vibrate those muscles and push though the muscles. The faster they vibrate, the higher the pitch; the less they vibrate, the lower the pitch
Both. I think... But really, throat
These are some of my personal favorite songs to sing in chest voice, they are easy to learn but have a couple of high notes near the end. Enjoy! these are the songs: Somewhere Only We Know, Jar Of Hearts, Second Chance, Thank You For The Music and Rolling In The Deep,
Because when you sing opera your voice has to go higher than singing normal
The pitch of your voice depends on how fast your vocal chords vibrate. The faster they vibrate, the higher the pitch. When you sing you use your muscles to force them closer together causing them to vibrate faster. When you are sick, your lymph nodes swell causing them to get closer and vibrate faster producing a higher sound.
his voice type is a Leggerio Tenor in which his falsetto voice is actually his chest voice. He can sing an alto, but not have the voice quality of an alto. His voice sounds more strained for an alto tone.

Since you're pushing more air to hit the higher notes, it's normal to get louder too. On the other hand, it's difficult to sing low notes with much volume. A vocal coach can help you learn to compensate for this, partly by teaching you to sing from the diaphragm instead of by expanding and collapsing the chest cavity.
Learn how to sing a high mix voice with a lot of power and chest to it; and try to mimick his Canadian accent while singing....
Well, I will always love you is a really good song to sing if you have a higher voice.
Try throwing the pitch or note in your head. its not so much to sing loud as to just get higher. sing the scale and keep up to get higher. some people can not sing high notes because that is as high as there voice will get. if nothing works perhaps get someone to give you voice lessons that is near or in your area. voice lessons are not as expensive as regular music lessons.
first you should use your head voice for higher notes and chest voice for lower or in the middle notes and always warm up so that you dont strain your voice or damage any vocal chords. =p
I'm a professional classical baritone and I can tell you that is completely normal to have your falsetto range extend beyond your chest voice.
To make your voice pitch higher, try speaking from your head voice rather than your chest voice. You can also practice vocal exercises that strengthen your upper register. Finally, focus on breathing from your diaphragm to support your higher pitch.
of course, in fact, I don't have any vocal coach and I sing as loud as her, but you can use some videos of you tube to controle your voice by yourself. A voice with no care is awful
Well I don't know if you can get it higher but this MIGHT work in a REALLY high voice say clearly nine, ninty-nine, nine hundred and ninty-nine, Then repeat in in a VERY low voice. And again in your normal voice. Your voice will change maybe it'll get higher. Try it then try singing. :)
Yes, have you heard him sing.
