In my view, I think hobbits are carefree peoples. They eat, drink and be merry. They love to smoke, party, eat large feasts, dance,

Unfortunately, they're terrified of a fight, they fight for self-defence. They don't like to be taken out of their safety zone.

I hope this helps

Hobbits are generally very happy-go-lucky, carefree creatures. They love to have parties, talk about rumors, laugh over a pint of ale, and things like that. They don't have many worries.

The Hobbits feel that Gandalf is a mischief maker. Overall, most of the Hobbits are not very fond of him.
