∙ 12y agoWhen Katniss was younger and looking for food, she dug in the trash can behind Peeta's house. Peeta's mother saw her and made her leave. Katniss sat by a tree not to far away. Peeta's mother told Peeta to throw a burnt piece of bread to the chickens. Instead, He threw it in Katniss's direction, knowing she was there. Somehow, Peeta's mother found out and punished him. Katniss was very greatful for the bread, even if it was burnt.

∙ 9y agoKatniss first meets Gale when she is twelve and he is fourteen, when they are both hunting in the woods. At first they didn't like each other much, and argued regularly, but eventually they decided that it would be better to work together.

Some careers quickly run. While others pick up supplies then run. Glimmer and another girl die from stings. Katniss had gotten 3 stings. Peeta tells her Cato's coming, and she runs away.
