As to the manga, Kakashi did die but then is later revived by Nagato. In the end Nagato dies. (www.onemanga.com episode 449)

According to the Naruto manga, Kakashi does die in a battle against Pain.

it actually isn't 100% sure because no one says he dies they just give sad faces it

It shows Kakashi with his Father the White fang

kakashi does die in a battle by one of the six pains.

p.s. choji's dad dies too and they both were brought back to life by nagato.

Yes, he is killed defending Zabuza..

IndeedHe jumps in front of Zabuza so that kakashi hatake hits him with a chidori. Haku, still bent on defending zabuza mimochi, holds on to kakashi so that zabuza, haku's partner in crime/"friend", can finally finish off kakashi by cutting right through haku's body, but kakashi picks up haku and jumps away.

After zabuza kills gato and get skewered by gatos's goons, losing the use of both of his arms, kakashi lays zabuza's dying body beside of haku, so that zabuza can have a moment of closure. This final moment for the two is heightened by the fact that snow falls, which is fitting for haku's special move, his kekkei genkai, was ice mirrors.

Umm.... closeIndeed he does die but not by Chidori.

He dies By lighting blade

You are both right....

chidori and lighting blade are the same move and kakashi's only original one also, kakashi calls it lighting blade because they say he once cut through a bolt of lightning, he then later in the series taught the move to sasuke who calls it by the original name chidori.

Umm...._closerChidori and Raikiri (Lightning blade) are actually, 2 separate jutsus. Chidori was the first he created, and the one he taught Sasuke, while Raikiri is a more powerful S-Ranked version of Chidori which he used to kill Haku. AnswerUmm...yes. If you don't know if he dies...then you haven't really seen Naruto have you? That's like their first mission. He dies in the Naruto series from protecting Zabuza (His partner or "Friend") from Kakashi. Who uses Lighting Blade against Zabuza who is being held by Kakashi's summoned dogs. It's really sad too. Answer on a different focus

It seems to me like you're asking when Haku died, whether in Naruto or Shippuden... If that's the case, then he died in Naruto, in the land of the waves arc before the chuunin exams. It's really early on in both the anime and the manga, well before the time skip that marks the difference between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.

Yes, he does die, but then is brought back thanks to Nagato whose Pain that is made from Yahiko also died since Naruto killed him, then went on the search for Nagato himself, and convinced him to a change of heart, and then Nagato held him to his word sacrificing his life to bring back those he killed when in Konoha.
