Okay so Kakashi does die but he doesn't die in Naruto... He dies in Naruto Shippuden. The first time in Naruto Shippuden is when Pein is in the Hidden Leaf Village and he gets is soul sucked out and that's how he dies... but luckily Naruto finds the real Pein (which is really Naguto) and he talks to Naguto and then everyone that has their souls sucked gets them back so Kakashi comes back to life...(I'm not exactly sure if Kakashi is going to stay alive due to the fact I am only on the maga chapter when Sasuke is about to die but if you do want to find out by yourself you can go to www.onemanga.com)
No, becasuse Shion saves him with her bell which make a ball shield which has powers when Naruto was just about to get hit by Mouryou, (the evil guy).
