The last book is called "Midnight" and she doesn't really choose at the end, she just admits to everyone that she loves Damon, and this shocks Stephan who then says that he didn't realise that he was holding them back from being together. <3 yiipy.

It is actually not yet determined only assumed. As of after season 3 she may become confused by her feelings for both damon and stefan. The books aren't nearly the same as the TV show its not really decided.

∙ 12y agoHonestly, I don't know. Since I'm a huge Stelena fan of course I want to say Stelena. I know Elena loves them both but right now Stefan seems like the bad guy. I think that when he begins to better himself which he has already begun doing little by little Elena will begin to notice that its all for her, and I think that will bring them closer and possibly even back together. I think Damon will end up happy but not necessarily with Elena. But I think its fair to say that theres a chance since the majority of people want Delena to happen and its mainly all about ratings. Nonetheless, Stelena is honestly meant to be in my opinion. In the words of Klaus, "that kind of love never dies".

∙ 11y agoIn the books, Elena ends up with Stefan because Damon starts to have feelings for Bonnie.
However, as the show has proven, the storylines differ significantly from the books.
Personally, I think Elena will end up with neither of them. The two sides (Delena and Stelena) have too bigger following for the writers to kill either of them off.

Alaric confronts Logan and stakes him. Damon shows up at the entrance to the tomb but Sheriff Forbes phones him to say thanks for killing Logan. Stefan and Elena sleep together but Elena runs off when she discovers the photograph of Katherine. She's involved in a car crash after she hits a mysterious figure in the road. The episode ends when he approaches her.
