yes, they get together in the 6th then break up and kiss in the 7th and then get back together in the end of that one
They kiss in the 6th book, Half-Blood Prince, which is the start of their relationship.
They also kiss in the 7th book, Deathly Hallows, on Harry's birthday even though they are not together (Harry is protecting Ginny from Voldemort).

- Harry Potter and Cho Chang in Order of the Phoenix.
- Ginny Weasley and Dean Thomas in Half-Blood Prince.
- Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown in Half-Blood Prince.
- Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley in Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.
- Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in Deathly Hallows.
Hermione also kissed Viktor Krum and Ginny kissed Michael Corner but neither were written about.

It isn't written in the books where Hermione gives Ginny advice, because the books are mainly about Harry. Throughout the series, we only know that Ginny had a crush on Harry through the Valentine (book 2) and the get well soon card (also book 2). Otherwise, we are given hardly any signs that Ginny has feelings for Harry, until, of course, the final two books. We only know that Hermione gave Ginny advice, because we are told later on in the book series.
