im not 100% sure. im pretty sure he does die, but not in the anime yet. if he did it would be in the manga, which the anime will catch up to in a year or 2

not really. he worked for sasori who was akatsuki but when sasori sent him to orichimaru as a spy kabuto betray sasori for orichimaru
