Certainly not while they were alive. Spinosaurus lived in what is now North Africa, while Tyrannosaurus Rex lived in what is now western North America. But apart from the fact they lived thousands of miles apart, they were also separated by millions of years. Spinosaurus lived during the Early-Late Cretaceous period, approximately 112Ma to 97Ma while Tyrannosaurus Rex lived during the Late Cretacious period, approximately 67Ma to 65Ma. An Ma is a megaanum, a period of a million years. Thus Tyrannosaurus Rex died out approximately 65 million years ago.

Tyrannosaurus was a land predator but its status as apex predator or scavenger is the subject of much debate amongst scholars. However, we do have a complete Tyrannosaurus Rex specimen, FMNH PR2081 "Sue", which measures 12.3 metres, and 4 metres tall at the hips, with a mass estimated to be in the region of 6 to 7.5 short tons, although this is the subject of much debate. The largest skull measures 1.5m in length and may have weighed as much 9 metric tonnes, however some suggest the estimates are flawed and greatly over-exaggerated.

Although Spinosaurus is thought to be much larger, at 15m in length, there are no complete specimens available. The skull is estimated to be around 1.5m in length but, again, there is much debate over its weight, anything from 4.4 to 18.4 short tons. But until we find some limb bones and a complete skull there's no way to estimate its size or weight with any degree of accuracy.

The depiction of a fight between Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex in Jurassic Park III is pure fantasy. Its ferociousness was largely based upon its size, which was grossly exaggerated for the movie, but Spinosaurus is thought to have been a piscivore, a fish-eater, rather than a land predator, mostly due to its elongated, crocodilian jaws. Although it may also have preyed on pterosaurs (flying lizards) there is no evidence to suggest it would prey upon another predator of similar size and strength.

But with such scant evidence available, it is not known for certain which of the two, had they ever confronted each other, would be victorious. By largest estimated size alone, Spinosaurus would probably win, but these estimates cannot be relied upon. A large Tyrannosaurs Rex might easily overwhelm a smaller Spinosaurus, for instance. But without a complete specimen, we can never know for sure which was the more powerful of the two. If I were a betting man, I'd probably side with Spinosaurus but I don't think it would be anywhere near as easy as the depiction shown in Jurassic Park III. Tyrannosaurus Rex would have felt Spinosaurus' approach well in advance and would have been far better prepared or (if the scavenger hypothesis is correct) would have probably avoided a confrontation altogether.

Who would win spinosaurus or allosaurus?

the question is clear the spinosaurus would win. even though the t rex is the dinosaur king the spinosaurus is larger, stronger, and more of a swimmer than a t rex. also the t rex has tiny two clawed arms and the spinosaurus has long three clawed arms. plus the sinosaurus can jump farther and hit harder when jumping towards something. its arms can help the spinosaurus to jump farther by using them as legs. That guy above me is totally incorrect. Most likely some kid that just watched jurassic park 3. First of all if spinosaurus fell, it would die instantly because the spine is connected to the fin. And also, the spinosaurus is not stronger than the t-rex, Researches found that the T-rex may be the strongest bite force that a land animal ever existing. And also, T-rex and Spino both lived on different places, so they would never fight each other. Spino's jaws aren't meant for killing dinosaurs however they are meant for catching fish unlike the t-rex which had experience killing dinosaurs.

Who would win t-rex or carcharodontosaurus?

x A spinosaurus is bigger in size and its mouth is longer so that gives it a range advantage, but the T-rex is built for fighting other theropods. A trex is much more heavily built but spinosaurus has high size so it could use it to knock over the t rex and this isnt UFC so its not a brawl on the ground my overall answer is Spino=56% T-rex=44%

What species of dinosaur is Barney?

The type of dinosaur he is isn't specified. Most people assume that he's meant to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex, though there were a number of species of dinosaur that looked like Tyrannosaurus, so he could just as easily be any one of these.

Who would win Giganotosaurus or Spinosaurus?

Giganotosaurus. Spinosaurus was a slimmer animal and was believed to have fed on fish. In the movie Jurassic Park Three, spinosaurus kills a t rex. T rex was also too heavy for a spinosaur to win in a fight. That scene was pure Hollywood! Spinosaurus would win.It was much bigger than any dinosaur that lived mostly giganotosaurus , it's jaw was strong enough to break through its neck. I disagree with the Above statement. The spinosaurus is was the largest dinosaur to ever walk the earth. It measured at close to 60 feet long and weighed up to 9 tons. This is more than 2000 pounds more than any t rex. In addition to that they hand massive 7 foot arms with 15 inch extremely sharp talons on the end making it a formidable dino. These were swung with somewhere over 4500 pounds of pressure making their arms one of the most deadly weapons this planet has ever known

Maybe the people you know believe that Spinosaurus could fight a Tyrannosaurus, but, most people believe the latter. In fact, Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus did not even live in the same time period, let alone the same continent.

Who is the king of dinosaur?

It was previously thought that the Tyrannosaurus Rex was the king of the dinosaurs. However, recent evidence has proved this was wrong. The king of the dinosaurs was actually the Spinosaurus. Which was much larger, stronger, faster and far superior than the T-Rex.

I know how but why did the spinosaurus kill the t-rex in Jurassic Park 3?

The producers of Jurassic Park 3 felt that Tyrannosaurus had been used enough in the series so they decided to go with another giant carnivore for the 3rd installment. They decided to use Spinosaurus, because many other species of giant therapod resemble Tyrannosaurus and they did not want the audience to get the new dinosaur confused with T-rex.

Can a vegetarian dinosaur kill a tyrannosaurus Rex?

Is it possible spinosarus could've ever encountered tyrannosarus rex by any chance?

It is not possible that in history the Spinosaurus would have ever encountered the Tyrannosaurus rex. The Spinosaurus was alive in the early crustantean period while the T-rex was alive in the late part of the crustantean period.

Can the Biggest T-Rex kill a Spinosaurus?

Spinosaurus was larger than Tyrannosaurus, but they mostly hunted fish. Tyrannosaurus had a much greater bite force and regularly hunted large and dangerous prey like Edmontosaurus and Triceratops. They may have even lived in packs, which would give them a huge advantage. In a one on one fight, I would guess that either could kill the other, although in most combat between two species one will surrender before either die. As a final note, Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus lived on separate continents millions of years apart, and thus they never would have encountered each other in life.
