on my pro star, the fuse panel is where the glove box should be
35,000 - 40,000 lbs, all things dependent. There'll be a big difference between, say, a Western Star 4964EX pulling a 40 ft. steel rock tub and an aero truck pulling a 28 ft. aluminum framed dirt tub.
Essentially seven brands of Class 8 truck are made in the US, owned by four companies - two of them being non-US companies:Freightliner & Western Star (also Sterling, which is now discontinued), owned by German Daimler AG... The largest heavy truck manufacturer in the world.Volvo Trucks & Mack Trucks, owned by Swedish Volvo Group - AB Volvo... Volvo is the second largest heavy truck brand in the world.Kenworth & Peterbilt, owned by the US company Paccar. Paccar is the third largest heavy truck brand in the world.Navistar International is a US company.

Overall, a Western star truck is a tougher truck than a Peterbilt.
well I can't say who drives every single truck, but I cansay that Western Star trucks are just as reliable as any other rig.
The pre-97 Western Star 4964FX.
No. Sterling was folded in 2009, so that focus could be placed on Freightliner and Western Star.
Depends on make, model, accessories, mileage, engine hours, and overall condition.
Western Star Trucks was created in 1967.

Feed truck... Mine is a western star tractor and a tandom axel trailer with a belly auger and stinger 8 bins holding 3 metric tonne feed each. Truck empty is 16 tonne. This makes for a truck that can be over 90,000lbs!
No. International is owned by Navistar Corporation. Western Star was bought out by Daimler A.G. in 1997. Daimler A.G. is also the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Sterling (1997 - 2009), Thomas Built Buses, and was also the parent company of Chrysler until 2009.Which is why you can get Detroit Diesel engines in a Western Star (as the brand is owned by Daimler A.G. and became proprietary to Daimler products after the 2002 emissions regulations in the US), but not in an International.
16,000 - 18,000 lbs. for a tractor unit, depending on configuration. For heavy haul units, you can expect it to be in the low-to-mid-20s. The Western Star trucks use a steel cab, making them a bit heavier than other brands on the market.
