Power
Well, as I've owned a Toyota Camry before, my advice would be to you, check for a button with "PWR" on it (usually near the gear shift). Most manual cars will have a "power" and "economy" mode in them. The "PWR" light on the dash probably means that you've got the vehicle in "power" mode. Find the button. Turn it off. Problem Solved :P Have fun!
malfunction in transmission.
The abbreviation for the word power is "PWR."

The PWR ECT changes the electronic shift points of the vehicle auto transmission/gearbox provide more power/torque and less economy. How it does is to hold each gear to a higher RPM. For example when you drive normally with PWR ECT turn off the vehicle auto transmission/gearbox would change/shift the gears from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd at 3000 RPM. When you drive with PWR ECT turn on it will change/shift the gears at 4500RPM.
PWR
You push the ECT PWR button (located left to the radio) to the "Off" position.
The PWR light isn't a warning light, it just indicates the car is set in power mode. This means it is shifting at higher RPMs than when not in power mode. There is a switch near the shifter lever that will allow you to change it back if you want.
