The DeLorean is officially known as the DMC-12. It is the only car that DMC (DeLorean motor corporation) made before closing down.

The current DMC runs under the same name and is dedicated to restoring, building, selling, and buying DeLoreans in several locations in the U.S.

The DeLorean is an actual car that was very controversial.

It is a 2 seater fast back coupe, with gullwing doors and a rear engine.

Built in Northern Irelend,with English tax payers money, by an American tycoon (DeLorean), with a V6 3 liter engine that was also used in, Volvos, peugeots, and renaults. The chassis was developed by Lotus and the body panels made of stainless steel, with no paint.

The car itself was a very good idea, but the way the original DMC made and managed it caused the company to collapse.
