If your roof is leaking due to a loss suffered from a covered peril under your policy such as fire, wind hail etc. (see your policy for covered perils) then your roof leak as well as any resulting damage should be covered under you home insurance policy.

If you roof is leaking simply because it is old and has reached or or surpassed it's life expectancy (an expected and normal home owners maintenance issue) the roof leak would not be covered.

Who is liable for any injury or damage caused by the reckless or negligent operation of a vessel?

This would be personal boat insurance if it is caused by a personal recreation boating. Larger vessels are also covered by insurance to protect the owners for loss of the vessel itself, to protect owners of cargo for their losses incurred in shipping, and to cover others if the vessel hits and caused damage to another vessel, docks, etc.

Does home insurance cover brick damage?

It depends on what caused the damage to the bricks. Did a car run into your brick home, Then the drivers Auto Insurance policy should cover it. Did a storm blow out your bricks, Then your home owners policy would cover it if you have wind storm coverage. If your home is just old and the bricks are crumbling due to age or lack of maintenance, then they may not be covered on your home owners insurance policy. Home owners Insurance, just like auto insurance does not provide coverage for normal wear and tear or for normal maintenence issues.
