I just finished replacing the ignition key system in my 1993 G20 Chevy van, 350ci, tilt steering wheel, no air bag, two key system.

1. disconnect the negative battery wire from battery.

2. remove steering wheel with an appropriate puller and disconnect horn wires.

3. remove retainer ring (2 tork screws at 11 o'clock and 8 o'clock)

4. compress locking ring with compression tool specific for this purpose and remove retaining clip. remove ring.

5. remove horn contact ring and spring.

6. unscrew directional signal lever arm (1 Phillips screw) and remove. Take note of location and orientation.

7. unscrew turn signal switch (3 Phillips screws) Pull over steering shaft and set off to the side. Do not remove or pull on wiring harness.

8. turn key to run position and remove lock retaining screw (phillips screw at 3 o'clock) do not drop screw down steering column!!

9. remove ignition cylinder.

10. install new cylinder ($13.99 at any parts store)

Hope this helps. Time taken 2 hours.
