Assuming you are getting that measurement at the valve would indicate a strong pilot generator and if the valve still will not open then I would pronounce the gas valve DOA.

To replace the valve cost can vary from $350 to $650 depending on the Contractor due keep in mind that you've replaced the Pilot Generator and now a valve to finsh the job right install a new Pilot Body with the correct orifice and that will round out a reliable system.

Good luck!

What if the pilot on your teledyne laars epg 250 pool heater will not stay lit and you have just replaced the pilot generator?

Check that you are getting voltage from the thermocouple. You should see about 600 millivolts.

What powers the VNS generator?

The VNS generator is powered by a battery that lasts several years. It is replaced during an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia.

Where is the alternator fuse on a 2007 Saturn aura?

The 07 Saturn Aura does not have an alternator fuse, and technically it is a generator not an alternator. There is a large gauge wire from the generator to the starter, this is a fuseable link. Check for 12 vdc at the large terminal of the generator, if is missing check the terminal on the starter. If the starter has 12 vdc and the generator does not, the link is bad and must be replaced. DO NOT REPLACE the link with wire, a fuseable link must be used.

What fossil is being replaced with hydro?

Hmmmm, not sure. It could be coal, oil, or natural gas. But since hydro generates electricity and coal makes heat and electricity, so I think its coal.

Skoda alternator regulator wiring diagram?

First you have to state the model and MY. Then, most cars have solid state (electronic) regulators on the generator that are normally not serviced but replaced as a unit.

How do pacemaker batteries recharge?

First of all a pacemaker is a combination of two parts: the generator which contains the battery and logic, as well as the leads which connect to the heart. The batteries are not 'recharged'. When a pacemaker's battery is nearing the end of it's life (roughly 5-8 years) the patient schedules surgery, where the generator but not the leads are completely replaced. This isn't as drastic as it sounds and not usually as complicated as the initial fitting of a pacemaker. This operation is sometimes colloquially called 'recharging' but in reality the entire generator (battery and all) is replaced with a new one while the old is discarded.

What is magnetic generator?

The permanent magnet generator is a synchronous machine where the rotor windings has been replaced with permanent magnets. This eliminates the excitation loses in the rotor, which otherwise typically represent 20-30% of the total generator loses. The reduced losses also give a lower temperature rise in the generator, which means that a smaller and simpler cooling system can be used. The temperature reduction in the rotor also reduces the temperature in the bearings, improving reliability by increasing the lifetime of the bearing and bearing grease.

What is the most likely problem if a 1960 Cadillac charging lamp stays on until 3000rpm?

Sounds like the brushes need to be replaced. Find a shop that can check your regulator, and who can rebuild your generator.

Can you swap out a rifle barrel on your Baikal IZH 18 shotgun?

Generally, no. While single shot rifles MAY have the rifle barrel replaced with a shotgun barrel, reverse is not true (usually) A rifle cartridge generates much higher pressures than a shotgun shell.

Why does the Gen light flash and the lights get bright and dim on my 1976 VW Bug?

Engine rpm drops below the speed necessary to maintain 12 volts reliably, or since it is a 76 you may be dealing with a 6 volt system, that was the weakness of the generator, alternators replaced them in more modern cars and supply a more steady supply of power. Just to rule it out you should have the battery tested to make sure it is in good shape, while you are at it have that generator checked as well, dimming lights are a sign of a failing generator, or a failing alternator.

Why is a generator of a car is called an alternator?

Generators were used in vehicles up to the mid 1960's. They used dc voltage and were slow to replenish batteries. You had to drive approx. 7 miles at 30 mph or faster just to recharge battery to level prior to starting vehicle. Alternators replaced generators in the late 1960's. Alternator use ac voltage to recharge battery and will charge battery at vehicle idle. Much faster and more efficient than the generator. It is not unusual for an alternator to last the life of a vehicle where a generator would require a rebuild or replacement during the life of vehicle.
