In soul eater does Medusa die?

During the siege against Asura, underneath Shibusen, Medusa is bifurcated by Stein, and we are to believe she is dead. She later appears as a snake, who possesses a girl named Rachel Boyd. In the anime, Maka eventually destroys Medusa's soul and keeps Rachel alive, but in the manga Medusa is still alive.

To answer your question, in the anime, Medusa is killed by Maka. In the manga, Medusa is still alive.I think Medusa is still alive in the anime in the end becuase since there will be more episodes soon and in the end one when Maka killed her her soul did not appear and in the credits you see Medusa's snake wrapping around a tree by Free and Eruka.Anyone else she's still dead.Plus in the manga Crona her own child ends up killing her so yea im pretty sure she is dead in the manga.
