If the leak was the result of the age of the roof, or nomal wear and tear, no.

However, if the leak resulted from a covered cause of loss (such as a large object hitting the roof and causing a hole, it probably would. However, in the latter case, the homeowner would have an obligation to guard against additional damage to minimize the damage.
