The Motown songwriting team of Holland-Dozier-Holland.
The Holland-Dozier-Holland song 'Nowhere to Run' was a 1965 hit for Martha and the Vandellas on Motown Records.
Probably not. He wrote songs for Motown for years...lots of Temptations, Smoky Robinson and others. Loved his talented lyrics!
R. Dean Taylor was a white guy who recorded 'Indiana Wants Me' and 'Gotta See Jane' on the Motown Label. Tommy Good recorded for the Gordy label before R Dean Taylor even joined Motown as a songwriter with Holland Dozier Holland.
No. Most of the Temptations songs(of the old Motown record label) were written by song writers such as Holland, Dozier, and Holland. They also wrote for a lot of the other artists as well. The musicians playing on the recordings by the Temptations, Four Tops, Smokey & The Miracles, etc. were all the same fellows at "Hitsville USA," the name of the recording studios. Watch the video or DVD called "Standing in the Shadows."
The only thing I can get out of this sordid undertaking is- the theme song. Baby Love was performed by the Supremes, and thus written by Holland, Dozier, and Holland, the Motown songwriting team. Seems to be about an estranged love affair- ( To make you stay away so long, cause Baby Love.. My Baby Love,...)
No. (It was on Sussex Records, out of California. Production was by Booker T Jones, who is associated with Memphis and Stax Records, not Detroit and Motown.)
Brian Holland has: Played himself in "Motown 40: The Music Is Forever" in 1998. Played himself in "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" in 2002. Played himself in "TV Land Confidential" in 2005. Played himself in "Legends" in 2006. Played himself in "Unsung" in 2008.

One rumor was that the Beatles wanted to record an album with Motown's hit songwriting and producing team, Holland-Dozier-Holland around 1965-1966. The other rumor was the Beatles wanted to record an album at Hitsville (Motown's recording studio) in Detroit with the Funk Brothers (Motown's in-house band). As for actually recording at Motown, the answer is no.
