When were talking about ecstasy we need to deal with MDMA, due to the vast variety of beans and pills available to the public that can be cut with a multitude of other drugs that can have serious mental side effects. The psychological problems that have been proven with extensive use of MDMA is minimal, but stems from serotonin deficiency which comes from the receptors being unable to return the strands of electrical currents created when serotonin comes into contact with our neurons. This can lead to depression, suicidal tendencies, and even death in some cases.

But do not be scared, MDMA in the grand scheme of things is an extremely safe compound and makes little to no permanent damage even when taken in seemingly very high doses in quick succession. Out of the drugs widely illegalized in our world, MDMA is a wonderful tool if used correctly and in the right situation.
