Sometimes there can be an error during the test that can affect the result. A picture of an open book is common on the Clearblue digital readout, and it is caused by not laying the test kit on a flat surface or when testing the absorbent tip wasn't facing downwards. It could also mean that too much or too little urine was used for the test.

∙ 12y agoIt's an error. It did not get enough of a sample or too much of one to run the test and you would need to do it again. You would need to buy a new strip.
I think the book is supposed to be the instruction manual - in other words, it's telling you to read the instructions!

This is a sign and not an absolute diagnosis as you can have morning sickness from too many other things. For a diagnosis you need to do a home pregnancy test fronm the chemsit or supermarket. The sexual health clinic will either test you there or give you a test to take hm for free. A nurse will do it-cheaper than seeing a doctor OR when i was pregnant 3 times each time i had tender boobs especially my nipples
