i have a 1936 winchchester model 94,serial #1492936, .30.30 caliber. it was given to me on my 8th birthday in 1968 and cared for by my elders until i showed enough responsibility to take care of it on my own, it is in nearly mint condition w/ thhe exception if a missing saddle ring. if your a shooter you can shoot the center out of a dime and make your girl a pretty pinky ring. i would never consider sellin it but would very much like to know the value sence Winchester went out of buisiness. (a sad day in American history). can anyone there or someone that knows someone help me with the history and value of my rifle?
sincerely, mark teague

Mark,
Your rifle is worth $450-600. nearly mint condition means there are no marks on the stock and the bluing is 100%. Im thinking if you have shot it, I doubt it is "near mint". Perhaps take a look at the NRA rating system and get a better idea of condition from there. A 1936 rifle would have had to have spent most of its life in a box and well greased.....Condition is everything.

$250-$400, depending on condition of your Winchester.
I would have your rifle appraised by a member of the Winchester collectors assoc. The value could be considerable on a Very Early model 1894 rifle with a serial number that low.Especially if there are special order features present on this rifle. In good to very good condition,we are possibly talking in excess of 1,750 dollars.Good luck!
your Winchester model 1894 is going for anywhere from 350 to 550 dollars depending on condition.

It"s a 1924 date of MFG. At 70% it would be worth about $1,500.00 . it depends so much on condition percentage! and if it has been altered in any way, or all original. Have a great day!
