Why should 3rd graders have phones?

Yea Because say if they were like shopping with their friends or something if their parents allowed them to they could get lost and then if there’s nobody that can help them they should like call the parents to come pick them up or say if you wanted to have a sleepover and your parents didn’t have your friends parents phone number I just called your parents I’m done and I got a phone when I was in second grade

No child NEEDS a phone in school ! Their parents can phone the school if necessary - and the school would normally be able to phone a child's parent if required. Phones should be left at home while the child is in school !

Fourth graders have no need for a mobile phone while attending classes. Most likely they are prohibited anyway in most school districts. The reason is that they are a distraction to teaching. They are at school to learn not to text and play games.
