Well if it's been left on a pad or whatever for a while then basically because that's what it is. Period blood is in fact, mostly the lining of the uterus (which had thickened in preparation for pregnancy) being shed. If it's been sitting out for a while then it will, essentially, start to rot. It will harbor LOTS of bacteria, so you should change your pad often. Or use tampons, which aren't exposed to the air so don't "go bad" as quickly.
that's not a very serios question.... but it is because chemacals are let loose in your body that don't smell the best when you have periods it smells like pee because the blood dries in to the tampon wich makes it smell like fish :D
It depends on what kind of animal it is. If it is an amphibian, the red blood cells will have a nucleus. Human red blood cells do not have nuclei.
no they don't…. if blood does come out that actually means they are sick.
If an animal has been thyroidectomized what hormone would be missing from its blood?

The blood travels from the uterus out the vagina.
it might be, because the blood in your womb might get damaged without periods
I think it smells like the blood loss you would normally get after childbirth
if u want to get rid of them, the smell of blood and or urine brings them away. they think it means danger. dont kill them, it is animal abuse. (both edits r from same person)
