They like each other. Alot of kids start to date in the 3rd grade. They both get little crushes on each other and one tells the other. The next thing you know they are dating.
Also, kids call dating going to the park and holding hands, but when you ask someone if they love their gf, (in 3rd-6th grade) they would be all, " um...i guess......" and its just like being fiends that both have a crush on each other
