They like each other. Alot of kids start to date in the 3rd grade. They both get little crushes on each other and one tells the other. The next thing you know they are dating.
Also, kids call dating going to the park and holding hands, but when you ask someone if they love their gf, (in 3rd-6th grade) they would be all, " um...i guess......" and its just like being fiends that both have a crush on each other

I think it's peer pressure and influence from their friends. Some of their friends might be dating at a young age and influence/pressure their friends to do the same.

personally, i don't think so. When you date, you have plenty of hardships and heartbreak, which could lead the 6th grader into school disaster. Besides, 6th grade prepares you for 7th and the rest of high school/middle school.

Hey, I'm in the 6th grade, and there is a lot of people "dating". Personally, I think it just causes drama, and they are too young. Just wait until you are in the 8th grade or high school to start dating. Your life will be much better if you don't date. :)
