Not all girls are dumb and not all go after the rotten type of guys. SOME younger girls may feel the moody and arrogant type of guy (lone wolf type) is one to be tamed and she thinks she's the one that can do it. It's all rather dense in a way because the mystery of that certain guy is what attracted her in the first place so why change him? I agree, it's stupid, but youth can do stupid things. Eventually these girls get the picture and pick nicer guys with more going for them.
