The seal has gone bad. Never leave a C02 cartridge in an airgun after you finish shooting it. It will eventually ruin the seal. You can contact daisy Customer service (see the link below) and ask them for advise or repair.

Is it okay to leave a c02 in an air pistol?

Here are two reasons why you do NOT want to leave C02 in an air pistol. The constant pressure on the seals will eventually cause them to distort and leak. If someone else picks up the pistol they can discharge it accidentally. For the few cents it cost for a new C02 powerlett it is not worth keeping it in the pistol. I leave my Co2 guns charged with Co2 all the time. According to Tim @ Mac1 airguns, he told me to leave it charged with gas. Reason being is that it keeps the seals seated and and valve clear of debris and dust. It will also tell you if your gun has a leak the next time you shoot the gun. If the Co2 is gone, you know you have a leak.

How long does co2 last in a crosman c11?

There are several factors that effect "HOW LONG" is. Temperature, How fast you pull the trigger. and how long the "powerlett" is in the pistol. It is best to say about 50 or more shots per powerlett. However never leave the C02 in the pistol when you are done. It will eventually leak out and may damage the seal if the pistol stays under pressure. Also it will prevent someone from picking up the pistol and accidentally firing it.

a fountain pen starts leaking at higher altitudes because the difference in air pressure is less than it is on the ground so the ink flows quicker so not exactly a leak rather you not being able to keep up with the flow from the cartridge.
