My friend is a tattoo artist and he regularly covers scars with tattoos like one person who had bad scarring on her arm and covered it completely with a tattoo or another person who put her leg through glass and had a nasty scar which is no longer there because of her beautiful tattoo!

Its a personal choice, I had a mastectomy 5 months ago and just got a arm and chest tattoo ,I went for tribal design for max coverage of the scar ,it now looks like ive got a big tattoo ratrher than a big scar... scar didnt hurt any more than the rest of the area.
