Connect the iPod to the USB cable and plug it in tho the computer. Itunes should open and ask you to sync. You can the select you iPod and add music to it from the music tab. then click apply. (open itunes if it doesn't start when you plug the ipod in)
First of all, only certain iPods can allow photos. So when your iPod is connected, on the main page of the iPod info, there will be a Photos tab.
