Value of a bsa monarch 270cal bolt action rifle?

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: To me personally, my BSA MONARCH is priceless.I would not consider selling it,however i did notice an auction website called trademe where a .270 win monarch has just sold for $920. It appeared in good condition, but i suspect it may need rebarreling. My BSA was originally a .270 as well, many deer cullers in new zealand used these fine rifles during the 60's and 70's,i decided to rechamber to .257 Roberts as most of my hunting is for meat and for a reduction in percieved recoil. My monarch has integral dovetails on the receiver for scope mounting,BSA put out their own alloy rings to suit(rare as hens teeth now) allowing for low mounting over the bore(1") also a fully adjustable trigger by external Allen screw,a reasonable half-cock and a nice palm-swell on the stock. To remove the bolt from the action simply apply slight pressure to the trigger in the direction of the muzzle while withdrawing the bolt.I hope i have answered your question to your satisfaction.

How do you remove a bolt to clean a BSA 3006 rifle?

Be happy to help. First ensure your rifle is empty and safe. Open the bolt, pull it back half way. Put your finger BEHIND the trigger and push the trigger forward (this may be a bit hard) then you will be able to pull the bolt out. That's all there is to it. Hope this helps. Cheers Ron
