The H&R Trapper model, is small, solid frame, DA/SA, blued 7 shot .22 rimfire revolver with a 6" octagonal barrel and two piece checkered walnut grips. It was derived from the H&R Model 1906, with which it shares most characteristics except for the top strap stamping (H&R TRAPPER) and grip panels and was serial numbered in the same range. The Trapper Model was introduced circa 1924 and remained in production into 1941-42.
An example with serial number in the 169xxx range was most likely made around 1926-27. There are no production records currently available, so year of manufacture is conjecture based upon serial numbers of currently known examples.

Made from 1924-1942, very spotty records of exact production dates. Yours was likely from the mid 1920s.
THERE IS NO MODEL NUMBER ASSIGNED TO THIS PIECE, ITS JUST THE H&R TRAPPER 22RIMFIRE MADE 1924-41.
