thanksgiving
The 4th of July.
Christmas...wow
I don't know for sure, but my best guess is either Christmas or Fourth of July.
Unlike in the US or the U.K., the holiday supper actually takes place on the 24th, on Christmas Eve, and after the supper, people get their presents.
The early Christians did not celebrate Christmas. Many parts of the celebration of Christmas were originally from pagan religions, and were celebrated by non-Christians. In around 300 AD, the celebration of Christmas became a Roman Catholic holiday, and gradually thereafter was accepted by Protestants also. Even many early settlers in the colonies which became the US did not celebrate Christmas because they saw it as a pagan holiday. It was not seen by these Christians as having anything to do with Christ.
It is celebrated on December 25.
none but in Canada there is civic holiday
Christmas Answer: Although more money is spent on Christmas than Thanksgiving (food + gifts vs. food), more people celebrate Thanksgiving (a secular holiday) than Christmas ( a Christian religious holiday.)
yes it is.
Christmas is an official holiday in the US. Just because some people don't celebrate it, doesn't mean it isn't a national and official holiday.
