No more than normal however because Ritalin (methylphenidate) works as a stimulant (amphetamine) it slows movement (peristalsis) of your GI tract (gut) and this makes your hunger cravings decrease significantly. Practitioners will not prescribe this drug for weight loss but it can be used off label for this reason if ADHD is part of the equasion. I am not saying fake ADHD but... Sometimes we need a little edge in fighting fat.

Look into Glucophage (metformin) for another angle of tackling weight issues.

Also talk to your physician. The reason I say this is because I am a second year medical student and I can't tell you how many times a patient will come in and tell me what they need instead of me telling them what I think they should try. Can be frustrating because patients will quickly research and then think they know everything. So again... Talk to your physician
