:
It is thought that the early Christians did not widely celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is most likely true since the primary focus was on His life, crucifixion, and particularly His resurrection. There certainly were some early celebrations. Early writings including a "feast calendar" written in 243AD indicate that there were some celebrations in the third century and perhaps in the second century. Christmas celebrations did not gain widespread prominence however until the Middle Ages or starting from around 400AD.

The earliest celebrations of Christ's birth, that are known, were mentioned around 200AD. So celebrations are likely to have occurred in the second century. However, celebrating Christ's birth was not seen as highly important in those days. Many rejected the idea of a birthday celebration altogether. The prime focus was on Christ's life, crucifixion and resurrection. The December 25th date was observed as early as the third century and became more accepted throughout the fourth century as the Roman Empire converted to Christianity.

Only Christians in turkey celebrate christmas.
Who? As far as I know, Christmas is still celebrated everywhere there are Christians.
No religion other than Christianity celebrates Christmas as part of their religion. Many people who are not Christians celebrate Christmas, but they celebrate it as a secular holiday, not as a religious one.
Martin Luther (1483 - 1546) did not "start" the Christmas tradition. The "Christmas tradition" dates back to at least the 4th century, though early Christians were celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ long before that.

Christmas is a universal holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, over 2000 years ago. There is speculation that celebrating Christmas in Dec. allowed the persecuted Christians to hold their festivities 'undercover' while the pagan population celebrated their own pagan holiday, which I believe was celebrating the Sun.
Christians believe that Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus. We believe that Jesus was sent to Mary to save mankind and was sent to die for us. I hope this helped.
God really didn't give anyone a Christmas gift. Christians started the tradition of celebrating Christmas to recognize God sending Jesus. Christians tend to say God's gift was Jesus.
