I'd guestimate that it is anywhere from 1948 to 1950. I cannot give an exact answer due to the lack of info I have. Using the info from the website below, and assuming production was evenly distrubuted from Jan 1, 1948 to Jan 1, 1968, we can mathmatically assume that it was made in 1948.621783 (or August of 1948). Of course, our assumption are not that accurate, but it would be safe to say after 1947 or as late as the early 1950s. http://www.remington.com/library/history/firearm_models/shotguns/model_48_sportsman.asp

Yes both the 11-48 and the sportsman 11-48 are the same gun. The only difference is the sportsman came standard with a plug to limit capacity to 2+1 to comply with hunting laws.

Don't know for sure which you mean... Sportsman 1930-1947 Sportsman 48 1948-1968 Sportsman 58 1956-1963
First of all you have the "sportsman 48", "sportsman 58" and the "sportsman". If it is a plain sportsman it's value depending on it's condition is from 150 to 200 dollars.
50-200 or so
The Remington Sportsman 48 was produced between 1949 and 1963. To determine the specific year of manufacture for a shotgun with serial number 3521576, you would refer to Remington's serial number charts. Based on the serial number provided, it is likely manufactured in the early 1950s, around 1951. However, for precise dating, consulting a detailed Remington reference or contacting a gunsmith with access to manufacturer records would be advisable.
