I don't know about others but I had several blood clots that were the size of my entire hand. At one point as I was getting up out of the bathtub, I pushed my arms down on the sides of the tub for leverage and felt like I passed my liver! Talk about shocking! I thought to myself at one point "can one lose this much blood without dying?". The hospital I went to said "Just ride it out until the end. If you faint come back but otherwise you're fine". I have always been one to not want to bother people. I felt like I was annoying the staff at the hospital so I didn't ask the questions or get all the info I needed. Don't do the same! Ask a million questions, take as much time as you need, and don't let hospital staff brush you off. They are supposed to be here to help and educate us so don't be afraid to ask them to do their job. Anyone going through a miscarriage, unfortunately lots of women understand your pain. Reach out and talk to a group of women going through the same thing. Best of luck and don't give up. Lots of women who have one or more miscarriages can go on to have many healthy babies.

It could signify a hormone imbalance, if you are in pre or perimenopause. It's quite normal as your hormones shift to have irregular periods and periods that last a long time with heavy bleeding/clotting. If you go through more than one pad in an hour's time, or if you have clots the size of a baseball or larger, you should contact your OB/GYN.
Watery blood with blood clots can be a sign of miscarriage. You can also have an unusual menstrual cycle. If you have watery blood with blood clots you need to go to a doctor.

During a miscarriage, the tissue is usually clots that are a grey or pinkish colour & sometimes you can see veins. However it is possible to pass large black clots during a miscarriage. It's possible you could have a miscarriage but it depends if you was having pregnancy symptoms. You may simply be having a unusually heavy period for you & passing large clots because of this. Antibiotics can sometimes cause the symptoms you mentioned but its unlikely. See your Doctor for a blood test asap.

No. If you feel the need, go to your local doctor and have them do a pelvic exam. Severe cramps with blood clots may indicate many things, including a miscarriage. The cramps could also just be cramps.
Technically, it's not actually clotted blood that gets discharged during your period or after a miscarriage. The substance expelled also contains cells from your womb etc, and if it's a miscarriage it would also most likely contain foetal cells. So yes, you will get lumpy discharges after a miscarriage.
