The 1400 like its predecessor 140 are both .22 caliber pellet rifles. The 1400 was made from 1968 to 1978. If you want the owners manual it is still available from Crosman as a download. ( see link below ) on the Crosman web page click on "Download a Manual" and locate your owners manual. You can purchase pellets at any large sporting-goods stores like Big 5, Walmart, Cabelas, Basspro or Dick's.
Remember don't pump the rifle more than 10 times or it will damage the seals.
Crosman pellets are fine. however if you really want quality pellets I suggest H&N pellets
.177 cal. Crosman, daisy, rws, beeman, marksman all make pellets in the .177 size
Add a drop of Crosman pellgun oil to your pellets (DO NOT SOAK THEM IN OIL). This will lube the pellets and lube the barrel.Add a drop of Crosman pellgun oil to your pellets (DO NOT SOAK THEM IN OIL). This will lube the pellets and lube the barrel.
The Crosman Phantom is designed to shoot ONLY .177 pellets NOT BB's, they will ruin the rifling in the barrel.
Cost prohibitive
The Crosman model 761XL is designed to shoot BB's or any .177 Caliber pellet. These are the most common pellets you can find. Make sure you select .177 Caliber pellets.
I suggest: JSB diabolo, Crosman premier, predator polymag see: http://www.pyramydair.com/pellets
No it is designed for BBs only.
No the Crosman V350 is a BB rifle only
The Crosman 760 doesn't shoot Bullets it shoots BB's or .177 caliber Pellets.
Actually YES they do but you won't find them under the Crosman name. Years ago Crosman bought out both Benjamin and the Sheridan air gun companies. Sheridan uses 20 cal pellets. Crosman makes the pellets but they are under the Benjamin or Sheridan brand name. 20 caliber pellets are not easy to find. You could try Bass pro, Cabelas or Pyramydair on the web.
It's rated at 645 with pellets and 680 with BB's
