What happened as a result of the Stono Rebellion?

The Stono Rebellion was a significant slave uprising in the colony of South Carolina in 1739. The event caused the deaths of 21 whites and 44 blacks. The revolt was eventually put down by the South Carolina militia. Captured slaves were either executed or sold to markets in the West Indies. As a retaliatory and protective measure, the Negro Act of 1740 was passed by South Carolina legislature. It restricted slave movement, education and assembly and enacted a decade long ban on importing African slaves. Penalties were also established against slaveholders who treated their slaves harshly.

How did union soldiers react to the emancipation proclamtion?

When the union troops were in an area they often had the freed slaves come to them for protection and to help. At one point slaves came to one unit and the confederate officer demanded the return of the slaves from the union commander. The union commander told the Confederate that the slaves were contraband. By declaring them contraband he didn't have to return the slaves. After that event they called themselves "contraband."

Which event worried the southern States and eventually led to their secession?

You could make a case for either the Election of Abraham Lincoln as President OR the Emancipation of the slaves; but the South saw them as one in the same. Lincoln actually didn't want to free the slaves; he believed that slavery would eventually end naturally and he believed that it should be ended by containing slavery and then just letting it fall apart on itself. The South believed that Lincoln would free the slaves so as soon as he was elected Southern States began to seceed. The funny thing is that it's because of their secession that Lincoln freed the slaves. He was put into a position where he probably just thought "Well, the wars already started...might as well free them now."
