New Answer.--------------------
There are 8 different versions of the No:111 model 40. The value runs anywhere from $30 to $600 depending on the variation and age. (It was made between 1939 and 1971). For the best advice and answer, I suggest you contact Daisy. Daisy offers a free service to tell you more about your old Daisy. See the link below.
It's what the market will bear. This item is not a direct collectors item.
The Daisy No 111 model 40 started production in 1940 and was made in 8 different variations up until the early 1970's then it became the "Red Ryder model 1938" and went on from there until today with 14 different variations. It is hard to set a value for the older model 40's but there is help. Daisy air gun company offers a free service to give you more information and set a value for you. What condition is it in. That determines the value.
Are you asking about the Red Ryder 94 Carbine? If so it was Mfg 1955-1962. Value as follows: 80%=$60, 90%-$100, 95%=$150, 100%=$250 --------------------------- I think this Red Ryder gun is older. Did they make one before 1955? ----------------------------- New to this. This was my fathers gun ( I am 63yrs). It is a Red Ryder Daisy carbome #111. ----------------------------- The model 111 was made between 1963-78. Yes Daisy did make several models that looked like the Red Ryder before 1955. The model B was made between 1910-23. The model 27 was made between 1927-32. There were several others that eventually became the Red Ryder. But I need more info to identify it.
The Cactus Carbine model 799-19210 was made between 1960-70. It was made by Daisy Air gun and is really a Daisy model 1894 Cactus Carbine. Please state the condition of the rifle to get an estimate of value.
Not telling. You'll shoot your eye out!
There are about 22 or 23 variations of the Red Ryder. Yours is worth about $35 - $40. If it has the BB tin, then you can add $10.

25 USD or so
A new Daisy Red Ryder cost around $40
Daisy has been making the Red Ryder series almost continuously from 1939 to today. The Red Ryder's that have a metal lever action (not plastic) are the most desirable. It is hard to place a value on them because so many were manufactured. They made so many that Daisy stopped issuing serial numbers and started using Batch numbers in 1952 for the Red Ryder models. I'm attaching a link to "Daisy Antique" for you to follow and give them your information. They have more information than anyone else about value and determining the exact model you have. (See the link below.)
Please state the condition of the Daisy. The original model was the No. 111 model 40 made in 1940-41.
